We are very excited about the many opportunities the Lord is opening in Kenya.  Our national leaders there are Peter and Carol Mugenie.  They are an amazing couple who love the Lord with all their hearts.  They live, by choice, in the Kibera slum of Nairobi so they can minister to the people there.  They have three children; Gideon, Shame, and Salaam.

Churches

There are currently five Kenyan Kaleo churches with eight pastors.  In addition, we have 7 home churches for Sudanese refugees.

Bible college

In Nambale, a village in western Kenya, Kaleo has had an active Bible School that opened in 2016.  Last year we graduated 37 students from a three-trimester course of study.  We are constructing more permanent classrooms and dormitories, moving toward full government accreditation as a Bible College.  We expect to complete this process in the summer of 2018.  Our vision is to identify people with a calling to pastoring and leadership among the lesser reached, more remote people groups, train them, and plant them back in their indigenous groups to start churches.  We are extremely excited about this opportunity.

Social development

We have been blessed to start a small brick-making business in Nambale to assist our leaders there, and to provide employment and help with economic development in this very poor area.  We are praying for other opportunities and funds to continue this vision in other regions.
